The Training Completion Dashboard allows you to aggregate and visualize exercise completion data over time. This dashboard is useful for tracking training volume, workload, and exercise-specific metrics across days, weeks, months, or years.
Unlike athlete monitoring dashboards that report data entered into forms, the Training Completion Dashboard analyzes data generated from completed training programs and exercises.
Builder Screen and Options
1. Dashboard Name
Enter a unique name for your dashboard.
This name will appear when assigning the dashboard to Athlete or Group layouts.
2. Field Aggregation Plot Choices
This section determines what exercise metric will be displayed and how it will be calculated.
Field
Select the exercise metric you wish to analyze.
Available metrics include:
- Sets
- Reps
- Weight
- Distance
- Duration
- Training Load
- RPE
- Heart Rate
- Bar Velocity
- RPM
- Calories
- Force
- Power
Additional exercise constraints configured within your system may also be available.
Aggregation Choice
Choose how values should be aggregated within each selected time period.
Available options include:
- Sum
- Average
- Minimum
- Maximum
Examples
Reps + Sum
Displays the total number of completed repetitions during each period.
Weight + Average
Displays the average weight lifted during each period.
Training Load + Maximum
Displays the highest recorded training load during each period.
Plot Choice
Choose how the data will be displayed on the chart.
Available options may include:
- Line
- Column
- Area
- Bar
The selected plot type changes the visualization only and does not affect the underlying calculations.
3. Relative Period Choice
Select the time interval used to group exercise data.
Available options include:
- Day
- Week
- Month
- Year
The selected period determines how exercise completions are aggregated before being displayed.
Example
If "Month" is selected, all exercise completions within a given month will be combined into a single calculated value.
4. Relative Period Limit
Specify how many periods should be displayed.
Examples include:
- Last 7 Days
- Last 4 Weeks
- Last 6 Months
- Last 2 Years
The dashboard will display data for the current period plus the specified number of previous periods.
5. Filter Since Date
Optionally select a start date.
Only exercise completion data occurring after this date will be included.
This is useful when analyzing training during a specific season, phase, or block.
6. Filter Until Date
Optionally select an end date.
Only exercise completion data occurring before this date will be included.
Combining a Since Date and Until Date allows you to isolate a specific training period.
7. Exercise Filter
You may limit the dashboard to one or more specific exercises.
Examples:
- Back Squat
- Bench Press
- Trap Bar Deadlift
- Sprint 20m
When exercises are selected, only completions for those exercises will be included in the calculations.
8. Exercise Tag Filter
You may also filter by exercise tags.
Examples:
- Lower Body
- Upper Body
- Conditioning
- Speed
- Power
- Mobility
When exercise tags are selected, the dashboard will aggregate all exercises associated with the chosen tags.
This allows you to analyze broader categories of training without manually selecting individual exercises.
Understanding Training Completion Dashboards
The Training Completion Dashboard summarizes completed training data and displays trends over time.
This dashboard is particularly useful for:
- Monitoring training volume
- Tracking workload accumulation
- Evaluating exercise compliance
- Comparing training blocks
- Reviewing exercise-specific performance metrics
Because the dashboard uses exercise completion data, it can provide a detailed view of how athletes are training rather than simply how they are responding to training.
Example 1: Monthly Total Repetitions
Configuration:
- Field = Reps
- Aggregation = Sum
- Period = Month
- Relative Period Limit = 6
Result:
The dashboard displays the total number of repetitions completed each month over the previous six months.
Example 2: Weekly Average RPE
Configuration:
- Field = RPE
- Aggregation = Average
- Period = Week
- Relative Period Limit = 8
Result:
The dashboard displays the average reported RPE for each week over the previous eight weeks.
